Kombi Code: Route Rescue
Give a kombi the right instructions to reach its stop in Bulawayo.
Try this missionA Zimbabwe-first learning playground
Help a kombi find its way through Bulawayo. Grow a smarter maize field. Build the ideas our future needs — one small mission at a time.
Coding. Robotics. AI. Made for the next generation.
Your village · Your Robo
Every mission you finish adds something to your own Zimbabwean village. Come back every week for a new theme, a streak and a weekend project.
Not just screen time. Real-world thinking.
Children learn best when the problem makes sense. Start with one route, one clever idea, and the confidence to keep going.
Give a kombi the right instructions to reach its stop in Bulawayo.
Try this missionHelp a field get just the right amount of water.
Patterns · SensorsProgram a tiny robot to follow the sunny path.
Sequences · RoboticsTeach a computer to spot a flock — and check when it gets confused.
AI patterns · FairnessPlan a fair way to share limited water around a village.
Logic · Good decisionsMission Trail
Road puzzles, robot rules and AI detective work for your age band. Change your age in the picker above. The first mission is free; unlock the rest for $2/month or $5 a term.
AI Lab · free for everyone
Give Robo examples of what is safe and unsafe, then see if it can tell the difference. Nine quick games explain data, patterns, computer vision, chatbots, prompting and fair, responsible AI. It all runs on your phone, with no extra data.
Your first mission · no sign-up
Can you guide the kombi from the pickup to the market stop without taking a wrong turn?
Your kombi needs three instructions to find the market. Put each block in order, then test your code.
You can ask for a hint or try as many times as you like.
No internet after loading? This mission is designed to keep going on this device. You can also print the paper version below.
Big ideas, little steps
No lectures. Kids see a problem, try an idea, get a friendly nudge, and discover what their code changed.
Put steps in order. Spot a bug. Try again. Start with logic that works on paper and on screen.
In the first missionGive a solar-powered robot a plan, then learn how sensors help it notice the world.
On the roadmapExplore how computers spot patterns — and why they can still count a chicken wrong.
On the roadmapAI is not magic. It learns patterns from examples, can make mistakes, and should be checked by people. We'll teach that with care.
Built for the way we learn
Short text. One lightweight illustration. No video lessons, no downloads, and no account wall. Save a mission on your device, then keep practising.
Try a mission nowTake the idea off-screen
Draw a road on paper. Make three instruction cards. Help a friend or a toy car get from home to the market — then swap the cards and debug the route.
For parents & caregivers
Give a curious child a safe place to explore logic, creativity, robotics and AI — without needing an expensive kit to begin.
For schools & after-school centres
A low-prep starting point for teachers: project a mission, solve it together, then let small groups draw and test their own routes. No robot kit or student accounts needed for this first activity.
We're talking to teachers and centre leaders before building school licences or a full curriculum.
This only opens WhatsApp with a ready message. Nothing is sent until you press send.
Start small. Build what works.
LFRSO Kids is an early pilot, not a finished curriculum. Every age band has a free first mission, and $2/month (or $5 for a 12-week term) unlocks the rest, with new missions every week. We keep learning from children, parents and teachers in Zimbabwe before we add more.
Try the first missionA small promise to families
The pilot does not need a child's name, email, school, location or account. Mission progress, stars, your unlock code, streak and village stay in this browser on this device. A name typed for a certificate is only used to draw the picture on your device. The WhatsApp buttons only open a pre-written message; nothing is sent until an adult presses send. Avoid sharing personal information on a shared device, and use the clear-progress control in the mission if needed.
Coding can happen anywhere
Draw a road from PICK-UP to MARKET. Put your instruction cards in order. Ask a friend to follow them. If they take a wrong turn, debug your route and try again.
Cut out or point to these ideas: GO FORWARD · TURN LEFT · TURN RIGHT. A sequence is a set of instructions in order. Swap the cards to make a new route.
